As soon as that was over I dropped Coleen at volleyball beach with money for lunch and scooted across the harbor to town. My hope was to get there and back while the wind was calm. It didn't quite turn out that way. I managed to get gas for the dinghy, get rid of trash and buy groceries (yes, more as Phillip is coming on Thursday). As I was walking down the dinghy dock with the groceries I felt a stiff breeze. Rats! I hoped it hadn't been blowing long enough for big waves, but no luck. It was a mess getting back. I got soaking wet, and me in my nice clothes too! The little boat was just slamming up and down in wave after wave. I decided I'd had enough scary small boat rides to last for a while!
After collecting Coleen we headed home, I grabbed a quick shower, got cozy in my fuzzy robe and collapsed in the main salon shaking. These near life and death deals really make you tired.
Of course, my rest was short lived as it started to rain and I had to rush around closing windows. Lucky me though, Coleen is cooking dinner and it smells good. She's even cleaning up the galley.
Here's hoping tomorrow is a little boring!
